Batteries for LED strip 12 inches long?

I do. I use the same base set up and width on the acrylic. Just customize the image design.

How fast I was looking at 19 mins

It’s about 10 minutes or less to carve the base. I’ll need to make more this weekend and can time it. No bit changes.

I’d love to learn what switches you use and how they are configured to work. I bought controllers, 5050 RGB, and single colored red, white and blue while in China. I saved on shipping by picking them up.

Thanks Phil. I have a radio shack near by that is liquidating and closing up. I’ll stop there tomorrow to see if they still have switches.

People really like custom led displays.

I have 6 of the 44 key and two single controllers left. I hadn’t used the 44 key RGB controllers on any my projects yet. I’m going to do it now though.

If you pop open the white plastic case of the 44 key RGB controller, you’ll find a single flat circuit board that is roughly 1" X 1". I plan on embedding the board without the case.

Also found some 1Amp UL tested PSU’s online for less than $6.

Im using the soft maple setting to cut into pine. A slot thats 16"x .3" with a .25" bit. Its gonna be 21 mins. If I change the dpp to half the with of the bit instead of suggested setting its 4 mins. Does this sound ok?

Thanks I’m gonna try that in a little bit. Just for my clarification tho is the depth per pass from personal experience or some kind of math. I was going to set my depth per pass to .125 since its half of a 1/4 inch bit which i thought i read somewhere but i see that would have been too much now.

I feel old because the best way i have of saving these tips right now is taking a picture of the screen with my phone.

What is the thickness of Cast Acrylic that everyone is using?? Does 1/4" make any difference than the 1/8"?? Also what is the best bit that has been found to work best?? I have made a couple signs using the stock bit, but recently purchased a dremel engrave tip that will try out soon. Just curious.

Here is one I did for my Son.
