Carves start too high

Justin , sorry for the delay I went to get a bite to eat. Yup Yup I have the bottom left bottom corner selected as my origin and that makes a lot of sense when it comes to what I see in UGCS. I will try changing that and also look for the manual change deally.
I hope I’m not asking a bunch of dumb questions…I couldn’t find a tutorial that ties all these together. If I get this figured out with you fellas help I will make one for sure.

ohh ya workpiece is 3/4"

BTW which post config? generic Grbl or f-360-easel or something all together different?

Thank you everyone soooo much for your quick help and suggestions. Justin This is what I was doing wrong in Fusion 360 Fusion let’s you select the corner for the origin. If you have the origin at the bottom, it’s assuming you zero off the waste board and not the workpiece. I knew it was something silly easy that I just didn’t know. Again, Thank you everyone. BTW I ordered one of those fancyTriquetra 3 axis probes too.

I stumbled with the origin point at first too. If you set it at the top of the material, it’ll let you zero on the top.

I am still learning Fusion 360. There’s a great tutorial on it hosted by Inventables. It deals with a pinewood derby car…I’ll find the link when I get back.
