Easel driver update problem

I need some help here, I havent used the machine in a few weeks, I uploaded a new project as normal but when I clicked on the pro CARVE button it said there is a new driver to download. So I did what it asked went through the steps on my laptop, when finished it said wait 30 seconds to finish loading then restart the browser. restarted the browser opened easel then my project clicked on carve button and it gave me the same message. I’m note able to run the machine until I install the new driver ver. 0.4.4 Is there a problem with the new driver or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you, Eric

i am having the same issue did you have any luck resolving it?

Just had this issue today. The computer I use is on Windows 10, I tried connecting through Easel on a Mac and the driver installed with no problem. What OS do you have?

I just read this: " * The Latest Easel Driver is now version 0.4.4.

  • This release is only available to be installed on Windows 10 and newer. We strongly encourage our users to upgrade to Windows 11 at your earliest convenience. Windows 10 will be unsupported starting October 14, 2025."

Yes, it was an easy fix.

  • Open Google Chrome and navigate to the Easel website
  • Click the lock or settings icon next to the Easel.com address in your browser’s address bar and re-enable access to local devices. Then refresh Easel before trying to connect again

New versions of Chrome require explicitly allowing users to connect to local devices. You can read more at the following thread Chrome Connectivity Issues
