Easel on windows 11

Got a new win 11 laptop. Is it as easy as opening chrome and inventables Web sites. Login to my account and create or open the project and the output gcode and run cnc or do i need a driver?

You need to download the Easel Drivers.

Is there any issues on Free account for downloading Gcode?
A friend who is in Teaching is testing out the software, but tried to export gcode,
but a popup shows that they have 1 remaining export left untill the week refreshes.

Underneth it shows ad for the Pro subscription.
There is no additional button in sight to “download’ or ‘export”

Tried viewing videos, screenshots etc, but nothing shows where should go from here.
Stuck in a loop.

Page shows, 1 export is available, but no way to “action it”.
WTF is the process?
Is this just an error visually? We looked at Downloads folder to see if they had any .zip or .nc recently incase it was show 1 available download, but actually it had already been used up… but no.

Tried suggestions by AI

  • zoom out page, incase button was hidden - zooming out showed nothing
  • on Projects page, selecting project & selecting … (3dots menu) to download - Didnt exist
  • Logging out / back in - didnt change anything
  • openning Private browsers > login > see if any change - No difference.

So at a loss how they can continue, rather than being forced into a Subscription, that maybe cannot use, if there is some UI issues & a button isnt shown?

Ive made this new account myself to ask these questions and test it myself via another PC/browser.
For me, the Project menu > Download gcode button worked instantly, just downloaded.
But i presume my new acc has 14days of pro automatically, so there are no limits yet.

So unsure why for them, it launches a popup, tells them they have credit for the week, but no way to proceed.
Only way forward can see, is for them to share the project, then use my acc to download the gcode, then repeat if have to do same in another 14days?!
Is there something they are missing? or is this an UI error?

I don’t have pro and don’t have access to pro features, but I can download gcode from my drawings with no problem. I’ve been a user for years, so I don’t know if that grandfathered me in or not, but others don’t seem to have any issues either from what I read.

With a little googling, it appears that after Nov 1, 2025, there are limitations to free Easel for new accounts. It’s a 30 day Pro account and after that the free version still is an option. At least to ACan I test out Easel Pro before subscribing? – Easel Support Center

Sorry for posting this here. I’m here for the first time and I can figure out how to start a new topic. Please help me with that.

My post: I’m looking for a carveable USA 250 Birthday that I can open in Easel Pro.

Google STL and USA 250 birthday and you’ll come up with options. This is one example. Some are free and others are not.

Easel can upload SVG, STL, and DXF formats.
