I am trying to use inkscape for my design of projects. The project is pretty simple with cutting of words and/or letters with some graphics. I am using wood that is about 1 1/4 inch with a 1/8 inch bit. I originally cut the design with a scroll saw, so some of the lines need to be pretty close. Actually, I would like the cut to be 1/8 inch if possible. To do this, I placed two lines very close to each other. After I import the design into inkscape, i choose to cut along the outside of the path. When looking at the simulation, Easel does not show that it will cut on the lines. I don’t understand why Easel will not cut that path.
Just a guess or two, but I’d change the bit diameter in easel to something smaller and see if that looks better. Maybe when you are drawing don’t make lines so close to each other so that they overlap when cutting outside the path.
Hello Alvin - are your lines grouped such that they appear to be one? More likely, the bit is too big to get into the space you want cut for some reason, as Martin has indicated. If you were using Fusion, you could use an offset rather than two different lines – might save you some time (but at the expensive of learning Fusion).
As an aside, make sure your Inkscape file is set to 96dpi so it imports at the proper scale.

Thanks for the reply. I have attached
I cut this with a scroll saw and trying to cut it with Easel. I am having problems trying to cut the monsteria plant portion. Due to the desired thickness of the material, I am limited to 1/8 inch bit. I am trying to get as close as possible.
