I know this topic was said but they didnt get any answers. Does Easel do picture frames ?
From a general woodworking angle, I’d say yes. If you want something more complex, then probably using 3D would get you there. A roundnose bit would allow you to have contours, and straight bits would allow for rabbets, and square edges. You could theoretically make individual frame pieces with mitered angles as well.
Using a 3d program, you can do the more complex stuff. Since I don’t have Easel Pro, I don’t know if this is doable. This is Rhino3d
I would mention that with straight tool paths with a round nose bit, you could offset the X toolpath and vary the Z depths to achieve a rougher version. Which is do able…but a lot of work. Blue round nose bit. Green material. Red line is the resultant shape after sanding.
the last thing i would mention is that Sears…used to sell a router bit to create raised panels. That could be useful here. :-). It’s a quarter inch shank and about 2” wide. Similar to a wide bowl bit.

I appreciate the help it was really helpful they have a project on easel in the help section that has a frame with the designs at the corner that’s what I’m aiming at with a different design on it.
The app in easel pro works great on frames. May need to make the frame insert a little larger than default and of course you have to square the corners. I also use a flat stapler to apply those little staples that hold the back of the frame… see pic below. Get some thick poster board and staple it in. For glass, I buy cheap frames with and just steal the glass which is less expensive than having hobby lobby cut glass.
