Just installed and this program looks very well done and simple to use. should be great in a learning environment. It also has V-Carve and several other features.
I’d really like to hear how it goes for you. I’m thinking about giving it a try too.
so far so good. seems very easy to understand and implement, work flow is consistent and students seem to catch on quick which is what I needed. something easy to understand that gets them going without a steep learning curve.
I just purchased x carve with plans to buy another not realizing the software had to have internet connection, our shop doesnt have internet and I hate the thought of having to get internet just to use the one machine, surely they will offer it for sale at some point.
I would really recommend you try carbide create. it is very similar to easel in usability and it is also free to use. It requires no internet and you can use various other sender programs like UGS or easel once the g-code is made. this has been a real advancement for my X-carve as I also have no internet in the classroom for the students to use Easel with.
Carbide create also has V-Carve capability which is really liked by the student when they make signs.
