My carving stops at the same time every attempt. I have set up two PC’s and both do it. I have USB suspend off on both and Never sleep or hibernate set also on both. I am simply trying to carve out a Treble Clef out of a 3/4 piece of walnut. I have tried everything I could possibly think of including reinstalling drivers and the image. HELP ! please. (On attempt 25 now.) now I am using a cheep piece of plywood so as to not waste any more walnut.
I’m only guessing here, but is there a possibility that you have a stray pixel, dot, or line outside of the cutting area that maybe you can’t see? Easel or Easel Pro? 25 tries is a lot…
That’s a great idea. I’m going to redo the drawing and try that. That would clarify what you were suggesting. First thing tomorrow a.m. thank you
Here’s the results. I re-drew the object, A simple treble cliff symbol. And I looked closely at the lines to make certain there was no jagged movements. BUT’ Going over all of my settings for my router, When I brought the router all the way down to its farthest point on the Z axis, it was about 3/8 of an inch above the spoil board. That explains why it stopped where it did, because it thought it was all the way down as far as it needed to go. So that location turned out to be the Z home position and stopped. After I lowered my router down about a half an inch, Eureka!!! That was the problem.
This is one of those times where we learned from our mistakes. Thank you for your suggestion.
