And of course with the Internet nothing is really new under the sun. Balance Board | Wooden Labyrinth | Wobble Rocker Board
Awesome! Go for it @volumestudios!
OK, we’ve got our first project, the Food Chain Puzzle, all put together and in the Projects section. We had so much fun with this that we’re going to do all of the above toy concepts - stay tuned!
Looks great! I’m for sure going to have to look at making one of these for my daughter!
did you stain the MDF after milling?
Good question! This is actually the Colored MDF material from the Inventables store. This is my first time using the material and I really like it. It machines cleanly and the color is consistent all of the way through.
I did try putting a few coats of polyurethane on some test parts, but they came out blotchy because of the porous nature of the material, so I just left the final parts natural with no additional finish.
Not the lavender whale, genus Orca Quadrilaterus which feeds exclusively on circlid fish species.
We just put our newest project, the Marble Maze up in the Projects section. Thanks to the feedback in this thread, we made the maze top easily swappable so you can create multiple maze designs in a variety of materials.
Great job again! Keep it up, love these projects!
That looks great! Thanks for sharing, it’s really nice to see other people building these projects.
We just finished up the Activity 'Bot and published it to the Projects section. My kids were playing with it all weekend - mostly cracking each other up with the different eye expressions. Thanks to the feedback from @AngusMcleod we have avoided the dreaded Teletubbie comparison. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and feedback on these projects!
