The roughing pass always leaves a little material around the edges for the detail bit to clean up.

I haven’t used this function yet but wonder if it may not be that it is difficult to get the depth of the bit at the home point the exact same. Think your idea would fix it though.

I would love to get access to this, I can see the advantage of the rough cut helping complete the projects sooner, although I am not complaining about that part it gives me time to work with my bees.
