That really turned out great. Good job Sir
which 3d printer do you have phil?
Those can be a Godsend.
I know the guy that revived the useless box and posted it to YouTube. I’m going to send this to him. I think he’s love it.
So amazing I can’t handle it.
phil you have hijacked your own thread.
Looks cool man
very good sir… continue
How does that roll if a wire is sticking out of the tire?
How are they moving? Is it a pre-programmed routine or is the arduino reading inputs? Fully automatic or remote control?
HMMMM, I wonder where the inspiration for a mining shovel came from?
Did you design the electrical boxes for inside the shovel too?
The code would actually move one item a small amount and then the other item a small amount and back and forth you go. Depending on the amount of movement each time, it will look like they are moving simultaneously.
Here is a great video of servo multiplexing. It has link to the code too!
cool detail on the truck and tractor… it will be cool to see it dump coin
I cannot wait to see it take a dump!
Building Useless Box. I’m powering 2 servos with 9vdc input through a 5vdc regulator. Question: Which will last longer? 3 of the squarish 9v batteries in parallel or 6 AA batteries in series. Thanks in advance for your input.
Angus Mcleod, Thank you for the quick response and info. I already have the 5vdc regulator and I’ve decided to go with the 6 AAs. It’s for my grandson 490 miles from here and I would like to minimize the need to replace batteries frequently.
Useless box copied from Phil’s design
Special thanks to Phil. I stole…er, um utilized Phils Arduino file rev 4 and didn’t have to modify any of the code. How did I manage that you ask. After the box was built I would make the levers out of foam board from the dollar store. 5 trys till I got it right. Then I duplicated it in half inch mdf. I pondered how I was going to get the monkey to raise out of the box and finally came up with glue gun his head to the lid. Monkey also came from the dollar store.
Thanks again Phil!
