When I set up a carve on the screen with Easel Pro, trying to make a double oval using the centering lines in Easel, using a left front corner to start the cnc cuts 10cm to the right. The oval is perfect except out 10cm. Scienci 12 x 36 microsoft windows 10
Maybe post a screenshot of what you have on the easel screen.
I would verify where home, machine and spindle is. Once the machine is Home, zero the axis. I always set home position first. The machine need to know where the spindle is in 3d space and will measure or move based on that 0,0,0 position knowledge.
Ron, I do not have homing switches only the puck to set O.
Have you considered getting at least 2 limit switches as the we get a repeatable place to start any machining operation. Put them on X and Y zero position. You also need to know where the spindle is.
When I got my first 3018 it didn’t have limit switches so I put them on just the X and Y home position. Easel allows easy homing cycling. Best $10 that I’ve ever spent on that router. Easel allows precise positioning by direct input.(see my previous postings.
If you are using Easel free edition., it will always start based on the “0” position. If you think that you have it set to starting in the center position without checking, you’ll be disappointed.
Another position to be aware of is where the drawing is position. Easel will always start it’s measuring at 0,0 . Is your drawing set to 0,0?
Here is that file

I suspect that you “puck” is only used to set the “Z” zero position,
