Why am I getting so many burrs? What can I do to change this? I searched for down cut ball nose end Mill, but I can’t find any for sale. Am I using the wrong material? This is Maple.
It looks like you are using quartersawn wood. My experience with quartersawn spruce is that the end grain gets fuzzy with a straight bit.

Hi, what bit did you use? I think you will find that a tapered ball-nose will solve most of the problems. I’m in Australia so I don’t know if this will help, but I get all my bits from; https://www.endmill.com.au/ I’m sure you should be able to find similar wherever you are.
There are a heap of youtube videos that will help.
