From all of the videos I’ve watched, plus all of the conversations here, equally spacing is supposed to be easy. I am not having that experience. I can use the spacing app, or just use the spacing icons in the tool bar. Trouble is that neither actually work for me. I do not know if it is operator error, a problem with my software, or if the apps are too simplistic to space what I need spaced.
I’m making an insert to hold my clamps in a drawer. Super simple designs. want to have them equally spaced. I can, and looks like I will, sit and do the math and move each one singularly until they are equally spaced, but it would be nice to know WHY the apps won’t work to space them (learning opportunity), and I’m wondering if there is a work-around to FORCE it to work.
Here is the situation. the designs have multiple elements to them. In the case of the small wood clamps, it has two different depths. The larger clamps have three.
If I do not ‘group’ the elements, the spacing app breaks the elements apart and tries to space them all separately. If I group them, the apps just take the whole group and stacks them all together (10 slots become one).
Here is the project, I am trying to equally space the four clamp images on the right as well as the ten clamp slots in the middle
Any insight will be appreciated - as mentioned, by the time you see this, it will already be done (in a different window), because I’m going to do the math and make the changes. But as mentioned, I’d really like to learn how to NOT do everything the HARD way all of the time
