Changing to larger router

I have the Masuter 3S CNC and am currently running the 400 watt spindle. I’m starting to cut solid oak and the cut times are outrageous. If I went to my DW611 router, would it shorten the run times?

The simple answer is, “it can.”. I have the XE-Pro and added a Makita router. You can adjust the speeds and feeds in Cut Settings. Try changing them to what you would use for the Dewalt and check the cut times.

Have you tried adjusting the speeds and feeds on the spindle? I can’t find documentation so I have tried it, but I believe the 400 watt spindle can boogie faster than Easel sets it automatically.

Hello,
Switching to the DW611 router could potentially shorten your cut times for solid oak, as it offers higher RPMs and better performance with hardwoods compared to the 400-watt spindle on your Masuter 3S CNC. However, ensure you adjust the feed rates and spindle speeds appropriately for optimal results. New York DMV
