I won a Cubiko from Sainsmart. I was impressed with it until I was showing someone how to use it. The USB got damaged and now Sainsmart tells me that there is no parts available. I am about to revise my opinion from very nice to JUNK. Before that happens I am hopeful that someone might know a supplier that have this power supply from some other source. I really hate to launch this Cubiko into bin 13.
Their text reply to this query and a photo of the part. I have been quoted $200.00 Cdn to have this part replaced at my local computer repair store.
What is on the back? Is there a component? Maybe you can make a point to point replacement.

Yes I believe that there are components on 2 sides as it is the 24v power supply. I’ll check tonight. I have contacted Genmitsu directly as I believe that they are the OEM and Sainsmart is a division of them. They also indicated that I am looking at a 4 to 6 weeks for a replacement time frame for this part. I am glad that I have a couple of 3030 and 3018’s that I could use so I am not totally hooped. I miss the days of “it’s on the shelf waiting for you to pick up” and whether I needed a part or an assembly, I grabbed it off the assembly line.
So that photo shows s a 24 v jack and a regular USB that male parts plug into?
Yes
Genmitsu just emailed me and I’m looking at a 90 day turn around for this 2 dollar part, makes me wonder.
Genmitsu told me that that the order was raised to a high priority to deliver speedily so I’ll try to be patient. I’ll let you know when it’s going to be shipped.
Maybe you will get next day air or something like that.
Wishful thinking and the proof will out, hopefully before X mas ![]()
I order a few cnc components and they are here in 8-10 days from aliexpress.
I have sourced this connector and someone who will solder the tiny pads just in case I can’t wait. 96% sure that this is the correct part for this power supply usb PCB.

I’ve been told that there is a plastic tab the spaces the pins apart that breaks off. If I am wrong I really hope someone tells me different.
