Hello Folks,
I am looking at making a custom cookie cutter with grandkids names.
Any thoughts on how to do this?
Thank you in Advance,
Martin
Here is the kind of thing I am Talking About:
Considering cookie dough will “raise” and grow larger in all directions, I think cutting out a name and then baking will yield something puffy…LOL. Maybe something that you cut out after baking before they cool? YMMV
Unfortunately, Easel doesn’t embrace bit changes in the design. You have to start with the SVGs flipped left to right so the name is right when you bring the cookie cutter down. The project is using a 60 degree V bit. You can then change to a flat end mill and pocket out the white part of the SVG. You can use the outline SVG and cut all the way through to free the cutter.
If you have Easel Pro, let us know. Also, if you have something like Vectric let us know as well. This design would work better by going to an STL.
This is how it looks when I import the STL below into Easel. Because I don’t have PRO, I cannot publish it or share the project.
If you have a 3D printer, you might be better off going that route.
cookie_cutter.stl (1.9 MB)
WOW!! Thank You So Very Much!!
I will work on this!
I am thinking of using cutting board materials for this.
Thank you and God Bless,
Martin
