Cutting a pocket with imported SVG

Hello Everyone! I am new to the forum. I just got my x carve and made my sample run which turned out great.
I then proceeded to cut a custom logo that I created in another design software (Creo). this cut was a pocket cut but it wasn’t able to create it. However, it was able to create an outline cut.
Has anyone had this issue? And what would be the solution?
Thanks

Hi Jerald,

It would help if you could share a link to your Easel project. To do this, click File / Share in Easel and then click Shared with link and copy/paste the link here.

Welcome to the forum Jerald,
All of the lines that you created in Creo weren’t connected. It has to be a closed path in order to do a pocket cut. Like Jeff said share your project or the SVG and someone can take a look at it.

I’m having the same problem trying to pocket out just the N and C image leaving the three other parts untouched.

The logo would have to be separated and in an SVG format then import it into Easel. I will attach an Easel file that you should be able to do what you want

Russell i have done that here is the link Easel - Copy of UNC Logo Union

The one you have isn’t separated

I used the Exploder app and broke the logo apart, is this what you’re looking for?
I also moved the logo to the left a little, it was off. :upside_down_face: :grinning:

you should be able to select what you want to pocket i went over to carbide create and it will let you choose what you want to pocket

Yes Thanks
