Dictating carve order

I know that nearly every user has requested this at one time or another. I’m posting again just to keep it on the radar.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE save us all a LOT of time and work, and allow users to dictate which bits carve which parts of the project. I know the workaround: multiple work-pieces for the same carve."
But frankly that is exactly what it is, a workaround. And “workarounds” are what we have to do because something does not do what it should.
MOST times, when doing a two-bit carve using a v-bit for the detailed carve, it will use the v-bit where we want a 90 degree carve, and vice-versa, and so extra workpieces it is. Wasting time and labor. Allowing users to dictate which bit carves which part of the carve is, frankly in my opinion, a MUST HAVE.

Additionally, most users have expressed this from time to time, but also needs to get back on the radar; PLEASE allow more than 2 bits for a carve. MANY of the projects that I do require a true ‘roughing’ pass with a larger bit to hog out material (usually a 1/4" bot), then a “mid-level pass” ( usually a 1/8" bit) to do the majority of the carve, then a “detail” pass with a very small bit, 1/16", 1/32", or v-bit.
Impossible to do with doing yet another “Work-Around” by creating multiple workpieces for the same carve.

I sincerely hope that you will consider moving these up the priority list and making them a reality some day.

Sincerely,

Joe
