FoxAlien XE Pro 8040 is not carving in the right place on my workpiece

I have a new FoxAlien XE Pro 8040. I set it up in Easel. I homed the machine. I set up a test carve on a 14 x 5 workpiece. I set the workpiece in the center of my work area. I set my work zero X Y and Z in the lower left corner of the workpiece. I set the design to carve 1 inch up and 6 inches in on the workpiece.

I start the carve, and the spindle shoots over to 15 inches and starts to carve there, which is off of my workpiece.

I noticed in the machine inspector that after homing, my XYZ is not set 0-0-0. Why is homing not resetting XYZ to 000? I am wondering if that is the issue here,

My other 4040 worked fine using the same steps.

Are you clicking “work zero” after you home?

I sure am.

I would then check for a stray pixel or line segment on your drawing. I’ve had issues with that situation where I thought I deleted everything, but a no see- em was still there.

I thought the same and used a fresh, new project and panel with just a triangle. It looks like I might have to adjust some GRBL settings.
