Hard to consider pro, when the pro demo doesn't even work

As the title infers, I’m not too impressed so far. Working on first simple project. I have 400Mbps internet and a new laptop, so that’s not the issue.
Working with a Genmitsu 3018, but not connected during artwork prep.
So far: 1) Software failed to cut a complete circle created direct from the Easel shapes tool. It cut 3/8 in two passes, then another 3/8 in two passes, then left 1/4th uncut).
2) In middle of artwork creationg/modification (resizing svg), website locked up. When reloaded, image was turned into a simple square.'Tried to open the SVG that had been saved along the way, and Easel would not recognize the svg.
3) Opened an svg, and depth was automatically set to full cutout. When I reduced the depth, the svg became a completely black square on the artboard, and a square cutout on the simulation. Increasing the cut back to full depth changed nothing.
4) Tonight, I am trying to export to an svg, so I can load it onto the 3018 outoboard controller (which runs the file consistently and thoroughly each time I use it). When I click “download g code” I get a “simulating toolpaths” message, and the software just freezes. Attempted multiple times, and it now happens every time.

And this is all just working with simple shapes.
If the software demo can’t even keep up, how can I expect the paid-for version to work?
Am I the only one this disappointed?

Hey Rob,

Thank you for reaching out. I sincerely apologize for the trouble utilizing Easel during your trial. I was hoping that I might be able to provide some assistance to resolve the issues you are experiencing.

I took a look at some of the projects that you had in your library, and I noticed one project that may have produced a similar result to the cut-off circle issue that you mentioned.

I noticed that the tiling setting was enabled on this project, which is likely the reason some of your carvings were left incomplete or cut off. Tiling is a feature that allows materials larger than the actual work area to be cut via segmented sections/carves. This can be automatically enabled if the material size set in the project is larger than the selected machine profile’s work area. You’ll notice the purple line in the middle of your design area that shows where the tiles are separated:

Because this line cuts off the top of your design, if you only carve the first tile, part of your design will be left out.

I also sent an email to you directly so that we may troubleshoot some of the other issues you mentioned.

I hope to hear back from you soon!
Thanks,
CJ
