Having trouble

Yesterday and this morning when I started a new carve everything went smoothly after putting on the dust shoe and starting the bit I then hit carve on my Fox Alien 4040ex the router moved to position and just stopped moving. It was still running but not moving. The green carve button turned blue and the machinedidnt move.I checked all alarms and nothing was tripped. I am a loss and any help would be appreciated. I have been using Easel for 6 years and never had this problem..

It almost sounds like a setting for the z axis is wrong for your material. I’d look at that first and maybe check out a homing switch on the Z axis too if you have one.

Also you may want to look at the gcode to see if there is a syntax error there. Lastly could it be electrical interference? [Solved - Elec. Interference] - Job keeps failing in easel - Easel - Easel Community Forum

I have ran into this situation and it turned out to be a flaw in my drawing. If there is a break in a drawn line or lines not totally connected, the machine will stop at that point. Possibly this is what is happening.

I let the machine set over night after I cleared the alarm and the next morningI checked allareas to make sure I didn’t have any areas that were on the stops.I did insert my bit a little more as it was close to a stop. When I turned it on and it ran perfectly fine. Thanks for the suggestion they are appreciated.

I also have a FoxAlien 4040-XE and have made awesome projects with it.

It’s a great piece of.Equipmen. I have had mine almost 2 years.I think my problem was operatorerror.

Hi there I have 1000L x 400mm W Cron craft machine and it cuts everything but when i put a size or 600 x 300mm it cuts the project smaller like 200 x 100mm.

Assuming you are Grbl powered, you may need to change your settings.
