I am not a pro at this stuff so bear with me. I have a 3d STL file of a nativity. Small in shape. About 4 inches by 4 inches. I want to use it as an ornament but having a hard time adding a hook on top of it to hang. It does not have anything and I put something together as an svg file but I cannot even get it to show up much less attach it to the ornament. Any advice would be appreciated. Not sure what I am doing. Thanks
An STL file is kind of tricky to change. I don’t have a lot of experience with SVG so I won’t comment on that. In this case I think I would cut your ornament and drill a hole to add a hook.
When I wanted to change an STL, I’d open it in my CAD program and convert the mesh to nurbs again. Then the drawing can be manipulated by exploding the polysurfaces. You may not be familiar with that kind of thing. That’s why I’m suggesting the easier route.

If you can share the STL file, I should be able to create a new STL file but with the hook added.
