I cant get my second pass / finishing bit to start

I tried this three times already and I just keep on wasting all my wood . I’m doing a 3D carve with 1 1/2 “ pine .

I’m using a 1/4 inch 4 fluted milling bit for my roughing bit , it carves the 8” by 12” piece of wood 1.4” deep like its butter

When its done and a change to a finishing bit ( a 1/8 Vbit ) for somreason the work 0 changes to the right rear of my piece of work .

I home my machine hit the “lift your bit “ button ,it lifts up . Then I hit the “start the spindle” button the spindle starts right up .

I hit the carve button and the spindle spins but that’s it . No Z, X or Y movement event hough the tool path looks correct except the starting point .

. Ive tried to home my machine unplugged the USB, and manually moved the X, Y axis to the location that the tool path indicates replugging in the USB tried to start from there ….same a spinning motor but no XY movement .

Even if it did start carving I dont know how I get it to line up properly because my work zero on my rough bit was front left . My finishing tool path is right rear??

Ive tried just about all i can think of for about 10 hours to get this to carve …..nothing Somtimes it will say to home the machine. I will home it and the app says my machine has “Homing not enabled““When I just homed it 10 seconds earlier . Also when my spindle is spinning I will go to my GCode in machine inspector and it will say my machine is Idle as its spinning with no easy way to turn it off.

Ive got a laser printer and the software for that is soo much simpler !

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Have you tried the Simulate button? This button will show what the program will try to output.

Press cntrl A and check what is highlighted. Slow down the viewing speed and watch what the imaginary spindle is doing while you run the simulation.
