I have a 3018 PROVer V2. I have been using blue and glue and it works just fine for me. Now what I wanted to do. In my designs I have actually reversed the X and Y axis as far as the machine is concerned to allow me to get my pieces on the spoil board due to the size limitations and I design my carves accordingly. I have been carving plaques that are 11 x 7 inches. (will include a pic and hopefully a couple including what I want to achieve.) What I want to do is create 2 designs, carve onto a 22 x 7 piece of cedar by attaching the first design and carving and then after it is complete, remove piece and re-glue it forward and carve the second. Hope this makes some sort of sense, it is confusing me also LOL. This pic is just so you can see what I am trying to achieve and the way I have designed this. The bottom piece in the pic is what I am “trying” to get the completed project to look like. Ignore the sizes on the pics as this was created in photoshop just to be able to show here and the sizes are photoshop sizes not Easel.
Tiling is available in Easel for the Y axis. The limitation on the 3018 is that you need the axes set up as it came from the factory. You can’t fit the length of your sign between the plates of the gantry. If you go back and reverse the X and Y to factory specs, you should be able to tile your sign.
I will have to figure out the tiling - I may have misspoke when I said I reversed the X Y - I didn’t change anything on the machine or in the software, it is just that the way I am putting the piece on the CNC. It says width but that is actually the length of my plaques and vise versa
