Is Xcarve obsolete?

I haven’t been to the inventables web site in a while. Is Xcarve (Non Pro) discontinued? Is it still supported? Are Parts available?

Obsolete… not at all. Discontinued, I’d say yes, since they aren’t selling them on the website. Other than proprietary extrusions like the X carriage and the X controller, you can find parts to do other repairs. Belts, pulleys, wheels etc are available from other vendors. You can find used X carves on Facebook or similar if you wanted more than that.

I added a cnc4newbies Z axis, risers, stiffeners, 9mm belts, extra t slot and a wooden surface. It is about as accurate as a belt drive machine with wheels could be.

OpenBuilds kind of took over the parts world for builds and now they have closed, so until somebody fills that niche, one is kind of stuck with Amazon.
