I have been using an Intel MacBook Air, Easel Pro and my Sainsmart Genmitsu 3020 Pro Max successfully for a couple of years with no problem.
However after a system update, Easel Pro no longer connects to my 3020 Pro Max despite the Carve and Jog buttons showing green.
Here’s my checklist, reboot between every step:
Updated System.
︎
New install of Easel Driver. Successful.
︎
Checked that Security and Privacy settings were not interfering.
︎
Confirmed no pen tablet drivers present.
︎
Check that the USB cable input and output working.
︎
Confirmed that the System could “see” my 3020 on the USB Bus.
︎
Browsers - Safari and Chrome - both set to allow Easel to access local network.
︎
Carve and Jog buttons show green in both browsers.
︎
However, only in Safari the Easel preview window is blank. ✘
Unable to carve or jog in either browser despite being able to go through the steps. ✘
No error message in either browser.
I know that Apple’s updates are increasingly strict on Security and Privacy settings and suspect this may the cause.
Also, some while ago I seem to remember seeing a Terminal command that released the USB Bus for “easel.com” in this space or maybe in the support pages - but I can’t find it.
I’ve got a load of Xmas projects half finished so any help or suggestions will be gratefully received!
