why is my z moving to much up and down
When I tell it to move 10 mm it moves much more
It´s ruin my cutting.
Is there any settings for this
You need to adjust the GRBL settings. Jog the Z up say 20 mm and measure it with something accurate. It’s a ratio of what you want to what you get. Say you want 20 mm and you get 30 mm. The ratio is 20/30 or .667. Then in Easel click on Machine inspector. You see the Console window. Enter $$ and it’ll come back with your Grbl Settings.

Find out what $102 is. Say it is 50. Take the 50 and multiply it by the .667 from the above ratio. 50 times .667= 33.33. You would then take and enter in the console window. $102=33.33..Enter. That will change the steps per mm for the Z axis. NOTE. This is an example…don’t use these numbers. You need to calculate the ratio and you need to find out what your $102 setting is on your machine and do your own math.
