Router brush timer

We all know the problems or damage that could happen, when your router brushes wear out and you are not there to stop the machine. I was wondering how hard it would be to incorporate a timer to the software. It would be like an odometer in a car. When you hit “Carve” the timer would start and when the carve was finished the timer would stop.

When you replace the brushes, push a reset button to reset the timer. You would have a better idea how low you brushes are.

Just an idea.

Sounds like an hour meter is what you are looking for or maybe a Preventative Maintenance Schedule is a better way to go.
