In all of the videos I have watched the instructor programs his project on Easel. Then saves the project to a thumb drive or CD and takes it elsewhere to load into another computer. Then uses that to cut his project. I can’t do that because I get a message that I need to be hooked to the machine. What am I doing wrong.

Once you have your object and settings in Easel, Under “Project”, click on “download Gcode”. You can open it and save it wherever you want.
