Having a problem with easel program. When I am in easel doing a project reaction time getting texts or changing all settings reaction time is very slow. Has anyone having the same problem?

YES! I have major slowdown when creating text (after there are several text entities already on the sheet) and moving text (uses up to 85% of my CPU just to move a text box around in a webpage). I’m also having copy/paste issues ever since their copy/paste update. When I’m working in a particular sheet in a project, after a while, and after a few text boxes, many elements, etc., I can no longer copy from the sheet at all, or paste to it from any other sheet. EDIT: Slowdown in general after a few elements are on a sheet is very noticeable. This WHOLE thing is a rather new-ish development. I use Easel off and on pretty irregularly, and I last used it 12 days ago and noticed no slowdown or copy/paste issues.

Agree Easel has been incredibly slow lately…especially using text…on both computers i use.

Can you share the project where you’re seeing slowness?
Seems like it’s back to normal, but I was only creating a small project today. It’s the larger projects I have trouble with, and boy, was it a pain the other day! Made me go and start looking for other ‘alternatives’. I don’t want to do that. I love Easel. I only use it as a layout tool from Sketch Up because Easel’s design tools are VERY basic and there’s no snapping (for some reason), but that’s ok. For now, I have a positive workflow and know it pretty well. Sorry I couldn’t test it with a larger project. That’s where it really needs to be tested. Something complex with about 15 pages or more, text, etc. I could be motivated in testing your builds as they come out pretty extensively and give you detailed feedback in a timely manner, if you’re interested in such info.

Hi folks - we found an issue that causes projects with lots of text to slow down. We’ve deployed a fix that should improve performance in these cases. Thank you to all of you who chimed in on this thread and shared projects that were especially slow. If you are still experiencing slowness, please do let us know.

today mine was extremely show doing a stl file. i emailed your support team. Every feature button was slow to react. And the check mark next to the saved file name kept spinning for a long time. Hope this gets fixed soon. I hate using an alternative program to run my machine.
