Spindle spinning but not moving about halfway through carve

Hi everyone,

I’m doing my first inlay project on my X-carve Pro. I cut the plug successfully, and was coming along nicely on the pocket when I noticed the spindle stopped moving 51% through its run.

V-Carve Pro 12 created the g-code and I used Easel to load it for carving. Windows Surface Pro 4 is running the controller.

Not sure what to do at this point. Tried hitting the pause button in Easel and on the controller box but it didn’t do anything. I hit the cancel button, which stopped the spindle.

Should I just try re-running the whole carve? Total carve time was about 2 hours 10 minutes. Any advice or direction would be appreciated. At this point I’m glad I haven’t broken my bit or ruined my project and would like to keep it that way.

Thanks!

Solved! Not sure what caused the problem, but I decided to restart the carve, letting it cut air for the first half of the second run. I’m glad to say it completed successfully, and I plan to glue my inlay in tonight.
