Neal I know the feeling my brother borrowed my mini marshmallow guns at Halloween and brought them back in pieces. Damn 9-10yr olds! Mostly my brother for not overseeing them. That wont happen again.
I approve of the Packer one!!
Making holders for big Lego models is a great idea and could be a real money maker. I think it’s an underserved need.
I remember that too. I remember it was Phil and it was the same design only with a brass plaque. Glad to see you like his design!
@SteveMoloney I bought that one too but haven’t carved it yet. what bit did you use for the engraving?
Awesome work my friend!
Awesome, I plan on gittin that good, someday.
I work a rotating shift, 10days on 4 days off, each return is the next shift so I work all 3 shifts. Fun ain’t it?
I love rotation, this week I worked MTFSS next week I work WR. Best part is I have so much vacation if I take my sort weeks with a couple of holiday weeks I can get 8-10 weeks off a year. June of this year I am at 30yrs. But 13hr days are long!
The file is set up for a laser so you need to tinker with it a bit to get it to run on the xcarve. combination of 60, 1/8, 1/16 bits depending on the piece, as there are several layers to the build. I now have the amana 45 I will use it next tie i carve it though.
Thank you so much!
Same boat, I am a Bridge Tender for WSDOT, I man the Snohomish River Bridge and the Steamboat slue. Vacation & sick leave piles up so fast, at times we are forced to take time off, and since there are only 4 of us, OT is high, I put in 68hrs of OT in January, coulda had more. Taking one of those days now, basement flooded last night, raining hard, 2 pumps going, hardly keeping up, my Xcarve is down there, sitting out of danger, but I am concerned about moisture in the air. Scared to cover it in fear of condensation, put a coat of sealer on the wasteboard, hope that helps.
Bridge Tender, sounds like a cool job! good luck on keeping the water out
It is a cool job, has its " ups and downs"
No even flow?
I think he just goes with the flow.
Been awhile since I posted anything, nothing too exciting, projects for work, a couple of diner signs and tennis ball training aid launchers for K-9 scent training.

Did you paint the trees and deer or did you burn those. Looks good.
I painted MDF black then cut it. I did try a new trick though, I torched the edges of the MDF and burned off all the fuzzys Worked well!
Nice work Steve…
