Stopping in middle of carve

This project ( the carve named Complete) has been carved several times, with varying results. First time it carved just the “Friend” portion of “Friendsapalooza”, then homed. Another time it carved the whole word but not to full depth. Multiple other time it just carved the Friend stopping at the same point. Playing the Simulation shows all letters cut to the specified depth. There are some uncut areas, but just small connectors.

The exported G code (22,799 lines) doesn’t have any extraneous stops in it.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

There was a known problem that was fixed today.

I was doing carves, and four attempts in a row, about 1 minute into the carve, the spindle abruptly stopped. I sent an error report to Inventables. They replied that it was a known issue discovered earlier today. I was told that a fix was being loaded, and that I needed to do a hard-boot of the machine, as well as close out easel and then reopen and try again. That fixed it.

I do not know if it is related to your issue, but give a ‘reboot’ a try and see if the ‘fix’ that they loaded to the software fixes it for you.
