Tabs not moving!

Using Easel on Safari 26.4 OSX Sequioa 15.7.5 and I can’t move tabs! all that happens is the shape changes size or moves. Software now unusable and I can’t work…. this all used to work great.

I don’t know if this is related or not but there is a new driver update a week or two ago.

Thanks Martin. I don’t use the driver just export G-code. I tried using Google Chrome - same issue. tried some old projects, same issue. It did work last week I’m sure. I’ve bodged it for now by putting a small shape over the top of the outline cut which sort of makes a fake tab. Far from ideal though

I know it’s not super helpful, but it’s working for me under Firefox.

A few suggestions to try (one at a time in order, not all at once):

  • Hold down shift and refresh the page. This usually forces the browser to reload any cached files.
  • Fully quit (CMD +Q ) and reopen Safari.
  • Log out, then clear the cache for Easel. I don’t use Safari, but Apple has step-by-step instructions here. Then you can log back in and see if that works.
  • Fully restarting your computer, though usually this isn’t as helpful for web app issues.

(I used to be a web app developer, so these are the most common ways to try to fix weird local issues.)

Thanks- unfortunately none of these ideas worked. I tried a clean install of Firefox(never used it before on this Mac) and it was still broken. It seems mostly on rectangles - it does seem to work on circles. As I said this has always been fine up until about a week ago.

This shows the weakness of auto-updated web apps - if it goes wrong you can’t go back to an older version.
