I am trying to make some two-sided carved items like a plate. I tart with the bottom side with tabs but when I turn it over to do the top it cuts the tabs off. How do i stop that if it is even possible. Do I have double stick tape it down instead?

I don’t use easel but why are you cutting the profile on both sides? You should have both sides done then cut the profile then you would not have that problem.

Because plates have a top and bottom. One side is concave, and the other convex
It still only has 1 profile. You should be able to cut the bottom first then flip it and do the top the cut the profile.

You are missing the point of the question. I route the bottom, and I set it to use TABS. I flip it over, but it cuts out the tabs before it finishes, it moves and damages to the plate. The question was is there a way to set it so when I flip it the tabs are not removed? if not then I need to secure it with double sided tape. Correct?
Looks to me if you are cutting the profile from both sides you should be able to add tabs to both sides. You can do that with the vetrics program but not sure about easel.

Thanks that is what I am trying find out is it possible with Easel? so far it does not appear too, but I am hoping someone with 3D easel experience can let me know how if possible.
You can do that in Easel. Just make your 1st side carve short (1/8") of your materials thickness. Then when you cut the reverse side it will complete your profile cut. You are right; you may still need some double-sided tape. It works for me and Easel is the only program that I use.
