Using a cove bit

I want to put a scoop handle at the end of a board where the cove bit goes gradually into the edge and then in further then down the edge and then goes out after a certain length (be nice if its parameterised but if its just a length I’m happy. Does this make sense? I was wondering how to describe it really

Can you provide a picture of what you want? Even a simple labeled sketch on a phone pic could provide more than a verbal explanation.

I have a video on my shared google drive - open access https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c7iduaihG6uvW915LLUmY8ar-eRJBV83/view?usp=sharing
hope this helps

I think this is a 2 step carve.

Step One cuts out the perimeter of the rectangle square with a straight bit

Step Two cuts just the left and right side ( think a shorter straight line on each side) using the cove bit. The bit would plunge down, go forward and come up. Repeat on other side.

If you wanted a wider handle you could draw a skinny capsule shape on both sides and the bit would follow that.

I don’t have Easel Pro so that limits what I can do with it.
