I have just designed a raised letter sign that requires a roughing pass and a detail pass both in two tiles. Between all 4 carves it was just over 24 hours. I am concerned about power or internet outages during a long carve, so am thinking of using Candle to run the carve. Easel Pro makes it pretty easy with the transition from one tile to another. Should I just record the instructions and do what it says when I’m running the carve in Candle? Is there another way? Over night my computer went to sleep and I lost the original XY starting point. As close as I was, I was out by about 1 mm. Any Help or thoughts?
First, turn off the sleep mode in your computer. Next you can carve one or two sections then just leave the machine on and the computer on overnight. You will not loose the settings. Then come back and carve the second tile. I do not recommend running the CNC while you are not observing the carving. Never leave it running unattended.
