Created a logo in Vectric Cut 2D that clears a pocket. Ran the Easel post processor for Vectric, and imported the G-Code. However, the G-Code only has the outline pass of the logo, not the pocketing passes. FYI the logo is just under 12” wide, 8” tall, the pocketing passes should be just over .05” (just to test the cut / look), and was built using the 1/16” bit. Vectric and G-Code files are attached.

Is the file format something that can be opened in easel besides the gcode? You may want to share it. The outside code does work as you said.
Thanks for the quick response. It’s my understanding that Easel will not “open” G-Code created outside of Easel for editing, so I don’t think so, and I haven’t been able to open it in Easel for anything other than driving the X-Carve so far. Yes, the outside code works, I’ve run it - need to figure out why the G-Code isn’t being created for the pocketing passes by the Easel G-Code post processor in Vectric as part of that file.
I opened your second gcode in notepad and then imported that into easel. It did open, but was just the outline as you said. Is it possible that you haven’t cleaned out the interior of your file? I don’t have vetric, so I can’t open that particular file format. If you can save it as another file format we might be able to open it. SVG, STL, DXF.
According to the tool paths in Vectric, the clearing of pockets is called for - for some reason, the Easel G-Code Post Processor that is for Vectric will not bring all the tool paths, just the very last one.
I actually tried saving the original Vectric file as an SVG, and then importing that into Easel to try to build the code inside Easel. For some reason, I can get Easel to clear a pocket correctly in Citizens by changing the pocket depth to zero inside the E / Z /S, but it will not clear the pocket correctly on the rest of it - it clears the entire thing without leaving the inside of the B, etc regardless of how I set the depth for those areas. I’m at a loss.
Thanks for your responses and efforts, Martin!

Here’s the file in dxf if that helps.
The DXF was imported without any problem. One file cuts on the outside of the object. One file clears out the objects. You can tweak all the elements from here I would think.
You may have to use the exploder to break up the objects where you want to keep lines.
You’re awesome for the help!
Got the Outside lines file to load and save, but I’m getting an error message on the Easel file that says something about not being shared publicly?
I’ll check it out. I guess it didn’t go public with my click.
I exploded the DXF for you..( I think)
That opened. Thanks! I’ll try to run the carve this evening when I can get back in the shop, and I’ll report back. Thanks again for your kind help!
Well, unfortunately still got the same results - I can clear out everything including the “insides” of the letters that actually needs to be left, or I can run outline only. Certainly open to suggestions for getting the complete G-code out of Vectric, not just the outline. Not sure if the easel post processor that I downloaded from easel to Vectric is the problem, or what. Thanks all!
I wonder if you used a V bit instead of a 1/16 bit, if that would help? My other thought was maybe change the font? Also, is the depth per pass set to more than your initial depth of cut? Are you making the choice manually or using the Easel version? After messing around for a couple minutes, it looks like the text could be exploded further.
