I create a project in Vectric Desktop and everything looks great. All previews show it to be exactly how I would like it to be. When I begin the rough cut carve, everything works great until about the 4th pass when it decides to begin that pass cutting 3-4 times deeper than the previous passes. If I let the carve continue it will slowly begin to move the cutting to the left. It’s as if the gcode has become corrupted. I have installed the correct post processor from Easel. It should be noted that this has only started to happen when I installed the Vectric software on a new computer with windows 11. I have tried carving by importing the files directly into Easel as well as with Vectric’s Vtransfer controller. The results are the same. Any thoughts?
There is a new software updates for drivers recently.

I have updated everything possible but it continues to do the same thing. What I’ve concluded is that this isn’t an issue with Vectric software but with my Xcarve machine, I think. Or possibly I have a second issue. I tried to upload a video of the issue I’m having with Z axis movement but I get a message that file is too big. Essentially what is happening is when i use the jog feature to move the machine the Z axis stops momentarily and makes almost a grinding sound when I try to move it up or down by 1 inch. I know it’s not the motor as I swapped it with another one. The threaded rod moves freely and is centered. The v-wheels are correctly aligned and not too tight.
Is the coupler tight? Can you lower the $112 and $122 setting rate and see if that makes a difference?
Couplers?
The thing that connects the motor shaft to the threaded rod. There should be at least 2 allen screws on it.

If you have a belt drive, it is the belt driven part.
Adjusting the $112 seems to have worked. The z axis is moving correctly and I’ve done a rough carve that worked exactly the way it is supposed to work. Thanks for your help
