I am struggling to us my XYZ probe from CNC 360. I didn’t get the triquetra because I have exclusively Mac computers.
The product has a g-code generator. When I generate this and enter that into the console of the machine inspector I get an “OK” response but nothing happens.
I’m obviously missing a step. Do I need a G-code sender? When exactly do I enter this G-code during a carve to notify the machine where the zero is?
I don’t have the Open Builds probe so I don’t think that is the answer. I would like to stay within easel if possible.
I’m kind of guessing here that you need 3 macros to use the xyz probe. X carve probes are for z only and are enabled through computer set up.
I use UGS and bought a cheap import probe that sits on the corner of the work. You can store the 3 macros and then set the probe into the position and it will move to those locations. I tried this once and it worked.
Your description doesn’t say whether they provided the codes, or it is a software app that produces the code.
You need something like Easel, UGS, Openbuilds, or other software to run a Grbl controller.
